(September 23, 2006) HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA -- The Washington and Lee Generals (6-0, 2-0 ODAC) proved to be too much for the Tigers, winning by a score of 4-0. With the loss, Hampden-Sydney drops to 5-2-1 on the season.

Washington and Lee scored first as Jack Palmer took a pass from Kyle Garcia and beat a Tiger defender on way to goal in the 27th minute. The scored remained 1-0 through halftime until the Generals scored three second half goals. Tiger goalkeeper Ben Marchetti (Richmond, VA/Benedictine) made nine saves on the day.

The Hampden-Sydney soccer team will take its game on the road as they travel to Ashland, VA on Wednesday, September 27, to take on Randolph-Macon College. The game is set to start at 4:00 pm.
