BRIDGEWATER, VA (September 24, 2003)—Hampden-Sydney's soccer team suffered its second loss of the season Wednesday as the Tigers were defeated by Old Dominion Athletic Conference-foe Bridgewater College, 2-1. After playing to the scoreless draw in the first half, Hampden-Sydney struck first in the second as junior Michael Kraemer (Roanoke, VA/Cave Spring) scored his first goal of the season in the 59th minute to give the Tigers a 1-0 advantage.

Bridgewater's Matt Brock then tied it in the 63rd minute with an unassisted goal of his own. Brock then assisted on the game-winner in the 87th minute as he gave up a pass to BC's In Meang who connected to put the Eagles ahead for good, 2-1.

Bridgewater out-shot Hampden-Sydney, 12-8, as the Eagles became just the second team all season to out-shoot the Tigers. Freshman keeper Nathaniel Dallas (Hendersonville, TN/Hendersonville) worked all 90 minutes in the net for the Tigers and picked up three saves.
