Henrico, VA. On Saturday at Dorey Park, the H-SC Rugby Football Club defeated Virginia Commonwealth University 19-15 in a pre-season tune-up game. The Tigers began with two quick scores in the opening 20 minutes, first by senior Jackson Cofer and followed by junior Ian Kuehl with both conversion attempts completed by Tristan Leidig. The Rams began to rally back through strong forward play. taking the lead at 15-14. The tension in the air was broken by a late score by freshman Ty-Michael Arnold with only five minutes left on the clock. As time dwindled down, the Tigers held the line and secured the win, coming out on top of this late summer brawl. 

The Tigers will be heading to Emory & Henry University on September fifth at 1:00 p.m. in Meadowview, VA for their first official game of the season.
