NORTH BETHESDA, Md. -- Sophomore

Kavin Wood (Cary, NC) scored twice, but Hampden-Sydney College fell to No. 15 St. Lawrence (NY) University on Wednesday afternoon at Georgetown Preparatory School.
The Tigers got the scoring started in the game as Palmer found the back of the net two minutes and 31 seconds into the contest. The Saints tied the game just over a minute later before freshman
Brenden Kittner (Freeland, MD) scored to restore the lead. H-SC made it two unanswered as freshman
Will Foley (Virginia Beach) scored off the assist from senior

The Saints opened the scoring in the second at the 10:37 mark and followed it up with a goal 13 seconds later to grab the lead. Palmer tied the game up at four just under two minutes later as he put home the Kittner feed. The Saints closed the quarter on a two-goal run, including one on the man-advantage, but Mack scored with 58 seconds left off the pass from sophomore
Barron Dobson (Shreveport, LA) to cut the St. Lawrence lead to one going into halftime.
St. Lawrence opened the third quarter fast, scoring twice in the first three minutes, and scoring another with just under eight in the quarter to push its lead to four. Palmer answered the third goal from the Saints less than a minute later off the pass from sophomore
Broder Conley (Duluth, GA), but the Saints responded with two more. Mack then answered less than a minute later on the man-advantage to make it 11-7, but the Saints found one more before the end of the quarter to make it 12-7 going into the final 15 minutes.
St. Lawrence scored twice in the first two minutes of the fourth quarter to push its lead to seven, where Palmer answered with his fourth of the afternoon at the 11:16 mark to cut the lead to six. Wood got his first of the day off an assist from sophomore
Nick Winchell (Wilmington, DE), and then Dobson scored less than a minute later to cut the lead to five. Wood scored his second of the day off the Palmer assist with just under four minutes remaining. However, that would be the final goal the Tigers could find as H-SC fell to St. Lawrence 14-11.
Palmer led the Tigers with four goals and added an assist, while Mack and Wood scored twice each. Dobson and Kittner scored once and assisted once on the day. Foley scored once while Steele, Conley, and Winchell each tallied an assist.
