HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- The Hampden-Sydney College golf team has earned the
2024-25 PLATFORM Golf All-Academic Team Award as announced by the
Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). A GCAA-record 297 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award. 132 schools received Presidents Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above, while the Tigers were among 28 NCAA Division III schools receiving the All-Academic Team recognition with their 3.19 GPA.

"It was a goal of our team to earn this distinctive team academic recognition again," said
Chad Eisele, who retired as the head coach of the program following 2024-25, after serving in the role for eight years. "We last attained the achievement in 2022, and I'm just so proud of this group of young men for their classroom dedication."

H-SC finished 2024-25 ranked 20th in the final SCOREBOARD powered by clippd NCAA Division III Men's Golf rankings, including ninth in the extremely strong Region IV that included seven of the Top 10 and 11 of the Top 25 teams in the country. The Tigers averaged 296.33 per round through 10 tournaments and 27 rounds, posting two Top Five among seven Top 10 finishes overall, including third at the 2025 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships. H-SC was ranked 19th nationally in the final Bushnell/Golfweek DIII Coaches Poll.
