"I am very proud of the young men who succeeded both athletically and academically," said third-year head coach
Seth Trujillo. "Their efforts and dedication to the classroom demonstrate their care and commitment to excellence. I am thankful to have such great young men a part of the rugby program."
The Scholastic All American program annually recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. To qualify, athletes must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher for the academic year and be rostered for at least 50% of the A-side matches during either the Fall 15s or Spring 7s seasons. Representing roughly 1 in 20 college rugby players, this group reflects the academic dedication and athletic commitment that define collegiate rugby at its best.
