HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College Rugby had six individuals named 2024-25 National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Scholastic All-Americans. The Tigers recognized include Graeme Ebert '25 (Vienna), Austin Apesa '27 (Haymarket), Jackson Cofer '27 (Smithfield), Henry Kvalevog '27 (Arlington), Geffen Lamar '27 (East Lyme, CT) and Knox Burton '28 (Brookhaven, GA). They are among 1,284 student-athletes recognized by NCR, including 564 women and 719 men, representing 220 teams across 177 colleges and universities nationwide.

"I am very proud of the young men who succeeded both athletically and academically," said third-year head coach Seth Trujillo. "Their efforts and dedication to the classroom demonstrate their care and commitment to excellence. I am thankful to have such great young men a part of the rugby program."

The Scholastic All American program annually recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. To qualify, athletes must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher for the academic year and be rostered for at least 50% of the A-side matches during either the Fall 15s or Spring 7s seasons. Representing roughly 1 in 20 college rugby players, this group reflects the academic dedication and athletic commitment that define collegiate rugby at its best.
