led off and reached on a throwing error before stealing second base ahead of a walk to Sanford (3-3, RBI). Both runners advanced a base on a ground ball out, and Wilson scored on a ball four wild pitch walk to Chambers (3-3, RBI) with Sanford moving to third. Chambers then stole second base with Sanford crossing the plate on the throw down. Senior right fielder and team captain
Christian Lancaster (Danville) walked ahead of a single through the left side by Masterson (3-4, 4 RBIs) that loaded the bases, and Chambers scored on a fielder's choice RBI off the bat of freshman second baseman
Gavin Smith (Mechanicsville) (RBI). Lancaster crossed the plate via a run-scoring single to left field by freshman third baseman
Jack Wells (Sutherland) (2-4, 2 RBIs) for an early 4-0 advantage.

In the ninth, Chambers led off with a no-doubt solo home run to right field for his first homer of the season, and the eighth of his career.
