Joshua Williams scored 14 points for the Owls (0-2).

"Proud of the guys for bouncing back on such a quick turnaround," said seventh-year head coach Caleb Kimbrough. "They (KSC) were a very athletic and quick team, and I thought our guys showed some maturity in the way we played on both ends. We learned a lot this weekend and definitely got better."

H-SC enjoyed a fast start and took an early 13-1 advantage just 4:22 into the contest, getting points from Moye (5), Lynch (4), Fernald (2) and Stickney (2). The Tigers maintained a comfortable margin and extend the lead to 26-11 at 10:29 following an old-fashioned three-point play in the paint by sophomore guard Asa Williams (Atlanta, GA), while junior center Alex Cannon (Loganville) added four points. It was still a 15-point margin at 32-17 after a layup by Lynch with 8:11 on the first-half clock, and 1-2 free throws by Lynch made it 39-23 at 2:08 for the largest lead of the first half. KSC scored the final six points of the period for a halftime margin of 39-29.

H-SC continued with its advantage to begin the second half and led 50-36 at 14:21 after a jumper by Stickney. KSC closed to within 54-45 with 10:03 remaining, but the Tigers responded with five unanswered points to lead 59-45 at 8:06 following another layup from Lynch. The Owls would get no closer than nine points thereafter, the last time with 4:03 left at 67-58, before the Garnet & Grey finished strong and extended their margin with a game-ending 12-3 run. Stickney started it with a three-point field goal at 3:34, followed by a slam dunk by Cannon, 3-4 free throws by Fernald, a layup from Moye and two more free throws by Fernald to close it out for the 18-point triumph.
