The visiting Tigers (2-1) used a 20-2 first-half run to lead 38-19 at halftime toward their second-straight win as sophomore guard
Santana Lynch (Dallas, TX) contributed 12 points and eight rebounds. Aidan Camper and Calvin Thomas each scored 11 points for the host Sea Gulls (1-1).

H-SC took an early 6-4 advantage at 16:25 following three consecutive layups made by senior forward
Shane Fernald (Charlotte, NC), Moye and Bizzelle, respectively. SU answered back with a 7-0 run to take an 11-6 lead with 14:45 on the clock. The Tigers, however, responded with 12 unanswered points to lead 18-11, and extended the run to 20-2 for a 26-13 margin at 7:50 after an offensive rebound basket by junior center

William Britt Richmond) started the run with a basket inside, followed by a jumper from senior guard
Colin Radcliffe (Richlands, NC), another basket from Cannon, three-pointers from Britt and Radcliffe, respectively, along with two more three-pointers by Bizzelle. The Garnet & Grey would go on to close the half on a 32-8 run to lead 38-19 at halftime.
H-SC continued with its momentum to begin the second half, outscoring SU 10-5 to lead 48-24 with 14:57 left to play after a three-pointer by Moye. Bizzelle had made another three-pointer to start the half, while Lynch scored in the lane before Moye connected on a jumper, as well. The Tigers led 52-28 following an offensive rebound basket by Moye at 12:45, and it was 58-36 with 10:04 on the clock after yet another three-pointer and 1-2 free throws from Bizzelle. The Sea Gulls managed to get within 66-51 at 3:39, but the Garnet & Grey scored 13 of the final 18 points—four by Lynch, including a defensive rebound and coast-to-coast layup—for the final 79-56 margin of victory.

Moye added his 13 points for the Tigers, shooting a perfect 6-6 from the field, including 1-1 on three-pointers. Lynch contributed his 12 points and eight rebounds, including 4-4 free throws. Cannon and Radcliffe each had seven points off the bench with Cannon adding four rebounds and three blocks, and Britt finished with five points and five rebounds off the bench. H-SC shot 46% (29-63) from the field, including 60% (9-15) on three-pointers, and 55% (12-22) at the free throw line. The Tigers enjoyed a 36-24 advantage in points scored in the paint, and a 20-9 advantage in second chance points with 11 offensive rebounds.
Camper and Thomas led SU with their 11 respective points, and Thomas also had six rebounds. The Sea Gulls shot 26% (19-73) from the field, including just 17% (3-18) on three-pointers, and 68% (15-22) at the line.
H-SC will play its first home games next weekend on the renovated Tony Shaver Court in Diaz Arena at Kirby Field House when hosting the non-conference
Charlie Cobb Classic on November 22-23. The Tigers will play Mary Baldwin University on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 5:30 p.m., and then Pfeiffer (NC) University on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 4:30 p.m. Pfeiffer and Colorado College will play on Nov. 22 at 3 p.m., and Colorado College and Mary Baldwin will play on Nov. 23 at 2 p.m.
