The visiting Tigers (5-1, 3-1) led 22-0 after one quarter, 46-0 at halftime and 60-7 after three quarters en route to the triumph past the host Cougars (0-6, 0-3).

D3 Coaches Poll, took the opening possession of the game and quickly went 72 yards on eight plays as Sido connected with senior wide receiver

Davis Dudley (Charlotte, NC) added the first of his eight PAT kicks for the early 7-0 advantage. The drive included a 25-yard run by Hicks, and completions of 17 yards to Lasso and 14 yards to senior wide receiver and team captain

The Tigers took their second possession and went 85 yards on six plays as senior running back/return specialist
Joseph Gonzalez (Spotsylvania) scored on a 40-yard touchdown run at 5:56. Hicks jump-started the drive with runs of 15 and 11 yards, and it was 14-0 after Dudley's PAT.
H-SC forced a turnover by AU as sophomore safety
Mitch Ladamus (Fort Mill, SC) made an interception and returned it 23 yards to the Cougars' 45. It took just one play to find the end zone again as Sido connected with Lasso down the left sideline for a 45-yard touchdown play at 1:42. The Tigers added a two-point conversion run when senior linebacker
Eddie Allen (Richmond) was successful for a 22-0 margin after one quarter.
The Garnet & Grey defense forced another punt and H-SC took its fourth possession 82 yards on nine plays as Hicks scored on a four-yard touchdown run at 8:52 of the second quarter for a 29-0 lead. Hicks had a 19-yard run on the drive, while Gonzalez added runs of 10 and 12 yards, and Sido had a 23-yard completion to sophomore tight end
Kam Mahoney (Bristow). Dudley added the PAT kick this time.
H-SC pushed the advantage to 36-0 on its next possession, a 70-yard, six-play drive that culminated with a 30-yard catch-and-run play from Sido to Cunningham at 5:11. Freshman running back
Will Foley (Virginia Beach) started things with runs of 18 and 16 yards, and Cunningham had a 16-yard reception, as well.
The Tigers' defense got another interception on AU's next possession as senior linebacker and team captain
Robert Clarke (Atlanta, GA) made the pick and returned it 20 yards to the visitor 45. It only took three plays this time as Sido and Lasso connected for a two-yard touchdown pass and catch at 1:54. Lasso also had a 45-yard reception from Sido down the middle of the field ahead of the score, and Dudley's PAT kick made it 43-0.
H-SC had one more possession in the half and sophomore quarterback
Connor Creech (Winston-Salem, NC) connected with Jackson for 28 yards to set-up Dudley for a 33-yard field goal on the final play of the half, the first field goal of his collegiate career, and a 46-0 lead at halftime.
The Tigers forced a turnover on downs on the first possession of the second half and promptly went 58 yards on seven plays as Creech scored on a five-yard touchdown run at 9:07. The drive featured a 25-yard completion from Creech to sophomore wide received
Phillip Dube (Glen Allen), along with a 20-yard run by Foley. Dudley's PAT kick made it 53-0.
AU scored its lone touchdown late in the quarter when Brock Hoffman connected with Jamahrie Owens on a one-yard scoring play at 2:22. Michael Markulic added the PAT kick for the 53-7 margin.
H-SC answered right back as Gonzalez returned the ensuing kickoff 80 yards to the Cougars' 15. After a five-yard run by Foley, sophomore quarterback
Wendell Thompson (Charlotte, NC) connected with sophomore tight end
Zander Cornell (Chatham) for a 10-yard touchdown pass at 1:30—Cornell's first collegiate catch and touchdown reception. Dudley's PAT made it a 60-7 advantage after three quarters.
The Tigers added a final touchdown in the fourth quarter when Creech connected with freshman wide receiver
Dario Benaglia (Frisco, TX) on six-yard scoring pass with 9:38 remaining. Benaglia made a tremendous one-handed catch in the back corner of the end zone for his first collegiate catch and touchdown reception, and it was Creech's first collegiate touchdown pass, as well. Dudley's PAT kick provided for the final 67-7 margin of victory.
H-SC totaled a season-high 655 yards of total offense, including 366 yards rushing and 289 yards passing, as Sido passed for his game-high 216 yards (12-14-0) and a game-high four touchdowns with no interceptions, adding 19 yards rushing on four attempts—all during the first 30 minutes. Creech passed for 63 yards (4-7-0) and one touchdown, adding 38 yards rushing on three attempts and one touchdown. Thompson passed for 10 yards (1-2-0) and one touchdown. Hicks rushed for a game-high 89 yards on nine attempts and one touchdown. Foley added 68 yards rushing on seven attempts, Gonzalez finished with 61 yards rushing on four attempts and one touchdown, sophomore running back
Brice Pool (Danville) added a career-high 57 yards rushing on seven attempts and junior running back
Casey Clark (Sykesville, MD) had a career-high 34 yards rushing on five attempts. Lasso had his game-high 109 yards receiving on four receptions and a game-high two touchdowns—all before the intermission, as well, while also tying his career-high with the two touchdowns. Cunningham had 61 yards receiving on five receptions and one touchdown, and Jackson added 51 yards receiving on three receptions and one touchdown, while Cornell and Benaglia each added their respective scoring receptions.

Hank Webb (Salisbury, NC) averaged 61.3 yards on 10 kickoffs with one touchback, and Gonzalez had the 80-yard kick return, while Dube added a 20-yard kick return.
Hoffman passed for 108 yards (12-18-0) and one touchdown for AU. Gaby Soto had 31 yards rushing on seven attempts. Owens had 28 yards receiving on four receptions and one touchdown. DeMarcus Sharper had a game-high 10 tackles for the Cougars.
