Hampden-Sydney Remains 8th In This Week's D3hoops.com Top 25

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College remains ranked No. 8 nationally in the week eight D3hoops.com Top 25. The Tigers, also ranked eighth last week, earned 434 points in this week's poll. H-SC is 15-3 overall, 8-1 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), and remains among the Top 10 for the sixth consecutive ranking.

Wesleyan (CT) University (19-0) is ranked first this week with 608 points, including 13 first-place votes, followed by defending NCAA Division III National Champion Trine (IN) University (16-1, 603, 11) at No. 2, Illinois Wesleyan University (16-2, 552) at No. 3, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (16-2, 535, 1) at No. 4, New York University (15-1, 495) at No. 5, Washington (MO) University (14-2, 468) at No. 6, Wisconsin Lutheran College (16-1, 440) at No. 7, H-SC at No. 8, Tufts (MA) University (17-2, 425) at No. 9 and the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse (15-3, 399) at No. 10. Fellow ODAC members Randolph-Macon College (15-3, 347) and Virginia Wesleyan University (15-3, 53) are ranked among the Top 25 at No. 13 and No. 25, respectively, while Roanoke College (15) and Guilford (NC) College (6) are each receiving votes in the poll.

H-SC is scheduled to welcome conference member Averett University on Wednesday night, January 29, at 7 p.m. in Fleet Gym. It will be "80s Night" promoted by the Roundball Club and "Girls Night Out" with the Longwood Sororities. As a reminder, it's free admission for all regular season home athletic contests at the College.
