Rugby Heads To Richmond For Rugby Talent ID Clinic

International Academy Coaches to lead in camp hosted by the New Zealand Crusaders.

Richmond, VA The Hampden-Sydney Rugby Football Club kicks off its Fall 15's season this Saturday with a trip to Dorey Park in Richmond to attend an International Academy Talent ID Clinic, hosted by the New Zealand Crusaders, a New Zealand Professional Rugby Union team based in Christchurch.  The clinic will be directed by Greant Keenan and Tony Flay. Coach Keenan and Coach Flay both have international and world-level playing and coaching experience. Coach Keenan is currently a technical advisor to the U.S. National Rugby team and is the director of the Crusaders International Academy, a part of the Crusaders team organization that focuses on training coaches and players from all over the world. Coach Flay is a former U.S. National Rugby team member and a skills coach for the Crusaders Academy. Along side players from Virginia Commonwealth, University of Richmond, and Christopher Newport, H-SC's Ruggers will be developing and honing attacking skill sets, roles and responsibilities in defense, decision making under pressure, effective tackle technique, attacking and defensive breakdown, developing and advanced training regimen and more.
