HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College had six different event winners as it took a 122-66 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win over Virginia Wesleyan University, Saturday afternoon at Leggett Pool.
H-SC grabbed victory in the 400 Meter Medley Relay, as the foursome of seniors
Cody Carnes (Hartfield),
Matt Brooks (Springfield), sophomore
Owen Renfrow (Bowling Green, KY), and freshman
Quinlan Ragsdale (Charlottesville) posted a time of 4:14.00
In the second and final relay of the afternoon, the 400 Meter Freestyle Relay, the Tigers grabbed the top spot with a time of 3:57.82 from the group of seniors

Brandon Hyde (Thousand Oaks, CA), sophomore
Peter Gonzalez (Bakersfield, CA), and Ragsdale. The foursome of junior
Jackson Piazza (Birmingham, AL), and sophomores
Roger Adams (Chatham),
Mason Brooking (Orange), and
Ben Gerber (New Bern, NC) placed third in the event with a time of 4:45.18.
Hardimon took victory in the first non-relay event of the afternoon, as his time of 9:38.75 in the 800 Meter Freestyle was 18 seconds faster than anyone else. Gerber placed third in the event posting a time of 11:19.45.
Brooks was the top finisher for H-SC in the 200 Meter Freestyle, as his time of 2:15.02 was good for second place. Brooking placed fourth in the event with a time of 2:37.32 and Piazza finished fifth with a time of 2:38.86.
In the 50 Meter Freestyle, it was Carnes grabbing the top spot for H-SC with a time of 24.98 seconds. Freshman
Quest Hennings (Cullen) placed fifth in the event with a time of 31.13 seconds, followed by Adams' time of 31.37 seconds to place sixth.
Gonzalez was the top finisher in a one-two finish for the Tigers in the 200 Meter IM, as his time of 2:30.79 just under two seconds faster than the 2:32.49 from Renfrow in second.
Carnes narrowly missed a victory in the 100 Meter Butterfly, as his time of 1:00.28 was .08 seconds off victory. Hyde grabbed fourth place in the event with a time of 1:06.66, and Gonzalez finished in fifth with a 1:11.20 time.
Brooks took a victory in the 100 Meter Freestyle, with his time of 58.61 seconds being the only sub one minute time. Brooking took third in the event with a time of 1:08.80 and Adams grabbed fourth with a time of 1:13.40.
Ragsdale took the top spot in the 100 Meter Backstroke, as his time of a 1:05.44 was just over a second ahead of Hyde's time of 1:06.81 in second place.
Hardimon took his second event win of the afternoon in the 400 Meter Freestyle, posting a time of 4:36.28. Gerber took fourth in the event with a time of 5:17.83.
In the final solo event, Renfrow took his first victory of the afternoon, posting a time of 1:15.57 in the 100 Meter Breaststroke. Piazza took home fourth in the event, posting a time of 1:26.03.
The Tigers will be back in action on Friday, November 15, when they play host to Randolph-Macon College in ODAC action. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at Leggett Pool.
