Culpeper, VA The Hampden-Sydney Rugby Football Club's season came to a close on Sunday with play against two strong opponents in the Cardinal Collegiate Rugby Conference (CCRC) tournament. Graeme Ebert. W&L converted two penalty kicks to set the final score. On Sunday the Tigers faced #18 Christendom. H-SC led 7-0 early after a Senior

Graeme Ebert conversion. The Crusaders responded with three scores in the first half to take the lead. In the second half

Ian Kuehl scored tries and
Graeme Ebert added another conversion but it was not enough as Christendom won the match 48-19. In the final on Sunday Christendom defeated Virginia Military Institute 25-20 to win the CCRC Championship. This concludes the 15's season for Hampden-Sydney and the Tigers will return in January for the spring 7's season.
