FERRUM, Va. -- Juniors Charlie Letson (Wilmington, NC) and Walker Stebbings (Forest) each scored a goal as Hampden-Sydney College took a 2-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory over Ferrum College, Wednesday night at Penn-Roediger Field.

The Tigers wasted no time taking a 1-0 lead, as less than five minutes after kick-off, Letson touched home a pass from junior Mason Dudley (Virginia Beach).

H-SC doubled its advantage in the second half, as in the 57th minute off a set piece routine, the ball was passed to Dudley who found Stebbings cutting across the goal for the finish. The Tigers' defense held strong for the remainder of the game and secured the 2-0 shutout win.

The Tigers had the advantage on the night in both shots (19) and shots on target (11) over the Panthers who had 14 shots and eight on target.

Senior Wills Huddleston (Baldwin, MD) had a big night in net, making eight saves to secure the win and shutout.

The Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, October 12, when they travel to take on Bridgewater College in ODAC action. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Bridgewater Soccer Complex.
