LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College fell 2-0 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action to the University of Lynchburg on Wednesday night at Shellenberger Field.

The Hornets grabbed the first goal of the game in the first half and followed it up with a second goal just over three minutes later to take a 2-0 lead. The Tigers got a shot on target in the half, but it was saved to keep the game a 2-0 into the break.

The second half did not see a goal, as both defenses were up to the task of keeping the ball out of the back of the net that unfortunately saw the Tigers fall 2-0 to Lynchburg.

Lynchburg had the advantage in shots with 14 compared to three for the Tigers, and shots on targets with 10 compared to two for H-SC.

Senior goalie Wills Huddleston (Baldwin, MD) made eight saves in the loss.

The Tigers will be back in action when they return home to take on Averett University in ODAC action on Saturday, October 26. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Hellmuth-Gibson Field.
