Head Coach Caleb Kimbrough
H-SC is led by the fourth-year head coach who took over the program on April 4, 2019. The former head coach at Huntingdon (AL) College from 2016-19, Kimbrough is the 19th head coach in the 113-year history of the storied Hampden-Sydney program. He is no stranger to the ODAC, having played four years at Guilford and coached six years with the Quakers, and one year at Washington and Lee University. Caleb is 46-32 overall at the College, including 27-20 in ODAC games.

H-SC is enjoying its highest national ranking since 2013-14 (11th, week 6) and won its most recent game at (RV) Roanoke,
57-51, on January 28, in Salem. The Tigers have three players averaging in double-figure scoring among their five starters that are each scoring at least 8.3 points per game. H-SC is led by junior forward
Davidson Hubbard (Charlotte, NC) with his 14.2 points (56% FG) and 8.1 rebounds, followed by senior guard

The Marlins are coached by 23rd-year head coach Dave Macedo. VWU dropped its most recent game at Bridgewater, 54-52, on Jan. 28. The Marlins are led by sophomore guard Omari DeVeaux who is averaging 14.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists with 26 three-pointers, along with sophomore forward Amarion Wilson (11.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 blocks). VWU shoots 43% (470-1084) from the field, including 31% (127-409) on three-pointers, and 64% (188-293) at the line; scoring 66.1 points, and yielding 61.7 points for a +4.3 scoring margin.
Series History
H-SC and VWU are playing for the 88th time since first meeting on January 8, 1973 at Hampden-Sydney. The Tigers lead the overall series at 47-40. The Marlins, however, lead the ODAC series at 36-33 since joining the conference for the 1989-90 season. VWU has won six-straight and 15 of the last 16 meetings since 2011-12, including a most recent
74-69 road win last season on Jan. 20, 2022 at H-SC. The Tigers' last win in the series was on Feb. 8, 2017, a 76-69 home win.

1,000 Career Points
Ryan Clements became the 44th 1,000-point scorer in the 113-year history of the tradition-rich program at H-SC with his 18 points scored at Salisbury (MD) on Jan. 21. He is the first Tiger to reach the magical 1,000 career point plateau since 2016 (Mike Murray), and currently totals 1,016 career points (43rd all-time) in 78 career games.
