HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA --Â Senior
Braxton Psuik (Glen Allen), as well as sophomores
Quinn Hardimon (Alexandria) and
Cody Carnes (Hartfield) all took victory in the Tigers' 168-80 loss Friday night to Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) member Bridgewater College at Leggett Pool.
The meet started for H-SC with the 400 Meter Medley Relay, which saw the team of Hardimon, Psuik, senior
Andrew Rehak (Radford), and sophomore
Charles Adams (Mechanicsville), finish in second place with a total time of 4:33.54.
As the only Tiger competing in the 400 Meter IM, Carnes took home a third-place finish with his time of 5:35.64.
H-SC grabbed third and fourth place in the 200 Meter Freestyle, with Hardimon finishing third with a 2:12.59 and sophomore
Matt Brooks (Springfield) finishing less than a second behind in fourth.
Rehak finished second in the 100 Meter Backstroke with a time of 1:07:38 followed by freshman
Robert Parke IV (Cameron, NC) in sixth with a time of 1:16.08.
Freshman
Jackson Piazza (Birmingham, AL) was the top finisher for the Tigers in the 100 Meter Breastroke as his time of 1:25.15 was good for fourth place. Finishing the event in fifth was sophomore
Trey Craft (Winchester) with a time of 1:30.42.
In the 200 Meter Butterfly, Adams finished less than five-tenths of a second off first place, but his time of 2:41.96 earned him a second-place finish.
Psuik grabbed the first victory for the Tigers in the 50 Meter Freestyle with a time of 25.57 seconds. Junior
Patrick Duffy (Charlotte, NC) finished in fifth place followed by Parke in sixth. Rounding out the finishers for the Tigers were sophomore
Kevin Busch (Greensboro, NC) in seventh and freshman
Rahul Parekh (Kissimmee, FL) in eighth.
Carnes and Brooks took home second and third in the 100 Meter Freestyle with times of 57.36 seconds and 59.42 seconds respectively. Adams was the next Tiger to finish in sixth with a 1:05.27 second time and Parekh's time of 1:29.48 was good for eighth place.
Hardimon grabbed the second win for H-SC in the 200 Meter Backstroke as his time of 2:27.40 was best by three seconds.
Hardimon finished second in the 400 Meter Freestyle which saw two-tenths separate him and the third-place finisher. Brooks followed Hadimon home in fifth place with a time of 4:55.29.
Carnes took home the final victory for the Tigers in the 100 Meter Butterfly with his time of 1:01.65. Psuik came fourth in the event with a time of 1:05.77.
In the final event of the meet, the 200 Meter Freestyle Relay, the foursome of Carnes, Rehak, Hyde, and Psuik finished second with a total time of 1:46.12.
The Tigers will compete in the final regular season meet on Sunday, January 22, when they travel to William Peace University for a tri-meet with the Pacers, Guilford College, and Pfeiffer University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. in Raleigh, North Carolina.
