Josiah Hardy (Ashburn) each added 13 points for the visiting Tigers, who led 40-36 at halftime before outscoring the Hornets 44-23 in the second half while completing the regular season with a record of 13-10 overall, 8-8 in the ODAC. Davion Roberts scored a game-high 16 points for SU, now 4-21 overall, 3-13 in the ODAC.

H-SC took an early 11-6 lead at 15:13 behind six quick points by Hardy, an old-fashioned three-point play by Clements and a pair of free throws by sophomore
Davidson Hubbard (Charlotte, NC). SU rallied back to take a 13-11 lead at 12:15, and extended its margin to 25-20 with 7:49 remaining in the first half. The Tigers, however, battled back with a 12-2 run to lead 32-27 at 4:16—getting five points each from fifth-year
Jake Hahn (Ruckersville) and sophomore
DJ Wright (Greensboro, GA)—each making three-point field goals. The visitors continued with the advantage and led 40-36 at the intermission, as Wright came off the bench to score 12 first-half points.
SU closed to within 42-40 early in the second half before H-SC used a quick 14-2 run to lead 56-42 at 13:28, the run started by a three-pointer from Brazil and capped with another three-pointer from Hahn. The Tigers pushed the lead to 65-46 with 10:42 left to play with points from four different players, including a three-pointer by freshman
Nick Shryock (Davidson, NC). The Hornets were within 65-52 at 9:14, but the Garnet & Grey closed the door with a 19-5 run and led 84-57 with only 1:38 remaining, as Clements, Brazil and Hardy each scored five points. A late basket by the hosts provided for the final margin.
Clements led H-SC with his game-high 16 points, adding a game-high seven rebounds and four assists, as well. Brazil and Hardy each finished with their respective 13 points for the Tigers. Wright contributed his 12 points and a game-high three steals off the bench, while Hahn had 10 points and six rebounds, also off the bench. H-SC shot 49% (32-66) from the field, including 40% (8-20) on three-pointers, and 71% (12-17) at the free throw line.
Roberts led SU with his team-high 16 points. Jaylen Williams had 12 points for the Hornets, while Noah Adams added 11 points off the bench. SU shot 44% (24-54) from the field, including 14% (2-14) on three-pointers, and 60% (9-15) at the line.
H-SC has earned the seven seed for next week's
ODAC Tournament, and will host a first-round game against 10th-seeded Shenandoah on Monday night, February 21, at 7 p.m. at S. Douglas Fleet Gymnasium in Kirby Field House. It's a quick turnaround for the two teams meeting for the second time in three days.
