Hampden-Sydney, VA – The Hampden-Sydney College soccer team fell to the Roanoke College Maroons in a battle of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) schools, 1-0, Wednesday night at Hellmuth-Gibson Field.
The Maroons grabbed the only goal of the game just over 23 minutes into it was senior Chris Jerrild sent the corner in and it found the head of sophomore Quinn Kunath, directed it towards the far post and passed the diving keeper for the goal.
The second half was a defensive battle between the sides, but the ball stayed in the attacking half for Roanoke as eight of their 12 corner kicks came in the second half. The Tigers could not break through the Maroons defense taking six shots in the half and only 10 for the game. The Tigers defense also came up big with junior
