Head Coach Caleb Kimbrough
H-SC is led by the third-year head coach who took over the program on April 4, 2019. The former head coach at Huntingdon College (AL) from 2016-19, Kimbrough is the 19th head coach in the 112-year history of the storied Hampden-Sydney program. He is no stranger to the ODAC, having played four years at Guilford College (NC) and coached six years with the Quakers, and one year at Washington and Lee University. Caleb is 27-23 overall at the College, including 15-15 in ODAC games.

The Tigers won their most recent contest at home past Shenandoah,
86-61, on Jan. 29 in S. Douglas Fleet Gymnasium. H-SC has three players averaging in double figures among seven scoring at least 6.5 points per game. Junior guard
Ryan Clements (Conyers, GA) leads the balanced-scoring team with his 12.9 points, adding 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists, followed by fifth-year forward and team captain
Jake Hahn (Ruckersville) (12.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists) and sophomore forward
Davidson Hubbard (Charlotte, NC) (11.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 59% FGs). The Tigers are shooting 46% (484-1056) from the field, including 34% (137-405) on three-point field goals, and 72% (217-302) at the free throw line. H-SC averages 77.8 points, and allow 69.1 points, for a +8.7 scoring margin.

The Hornets are coached by 14th-year head coach Hilliary Scott and last played on Jan. 28 on the road at ODAC member Virginia Wesleyan, falling 74-61. UL had won three-straight games before the loss away from home at VWU. The Hornets have been led by fifth-year guard Tharon Suggs (40 3FGs), who is averaging 17.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.2 steals, followed by fifth-year forward T.C. Thacker (14.8 points, 11.4 rebounds, 1.4 blocks) and fifth-year guard Isräel Lockamy (10.8 points, 1.2 steals). UL shoots 43% (478-1119) from the field, including 35% (138-399) on three-pointers, and 77% (232-300) at the line; scoring 78.0 points, and yielding 71.8 points, for a +6.2 scoring margin.
ODAC Series History vs. Lynchburg
H-SC and UL are playing for the 90th time as ODAC opponents since 1976-77. The Tigers lead the conference series at 66-23, including a thrilling
71-70 road win against the Hornets last February 16, 2021 ... with
Ryan Clements making a game-winning three-pointer with just four-tenths of a second remaining. Prior to that last-second win, UL had won nine-straight games in the series since 2015-16.
