After more than a year without match play as a result of Covid restrictions, H-SC Rugby returns to play this Saturday at Christopher Newport. Play will begin at 1 pm at Jennings Family Stadium at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia.
First-year head coach
Spencer Parrish will lead a mix of experience and youth into fall league play in the Cardinal Conference of the National Collegiate Rugby organization. Like all teams around the league, this will be the first collegiate rugby competion for many of the players. While changes to the schedule should be expected this fall, along with the trip to CNU, the Tigers will also travel to Christendom on Saturday, September 18th and to Washington and Lee on Saturday, October 2nd. The Tigers open at home on Saturday, September 25th against VMI and then are scheduled to host Radford on Saturday, October 16th and then complete the regular season schedule at home against George Mason on Saturday, October 23rd. Following the regular season, the Tigers will then play in the league championship tournament that begins on Saturday, November 6th, with the location to be announced.
