HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Hampden-Sydney took early momentum in the game, scoring the first five points of the contest and leading 12-6 just over four minutes into the game
  • From there, the Hornets took over, using a 12-0 run over the next five minutes to burst ahead to an 18-12 lead at 10:46
  • The Tigers scored the next four points to trail just two, 18-16, with 9:34 remaining in the half, but LC would go on to post a 25-4 run to break open the game with a 43-20 lead with 2:23 to go into the half.
  • Lynchburg went into halftime leading 48-25
  • The Tigers showed much offensive improvement in the second half, putting up 51 points and outscoring the Hornets by five in the frame
