• Virginia Wesleyan raced out to a 12-5 lead at 16:38, but a 16-6 Tiger run provided Hampden-Sydney with a 21-18 lead at 10:24.
• VWC's Justin Watson tied the game at 9:33 and H-SC trailed by only two, 26-24, at 6:48.
• From there it was all Marlins as they scored 19 straight spanning both halves to blow open the game with a 21-point lead with 18:22 to play
