  • Hampden-Sydney scored five of the half's last seven points to trail just 28-25 at halftime
  • After BSSC pushed the advantage to six, 35-29, H-SC used a 10-0 run, capped by three pointers from Justin Reid and Malik Crute, to surge ahead 39-35 at the 12:09 mark.
  • The Tigers managed to maintain the lead over the next six minutes and pushed it out to as many as eight, 50-42, with 6:30 remaining
  • The lead quickly evaporated as an Alex Perkins layup followed by consecutive Panther three pointers tied the game at 50-50 with 4:02 on the clock
  • H-SC briefly regained the lead on the next possession on a three throw, but the Panthers registered the next six points to go back in front by five, 56-51, with 2:22 remaining
  • While the Tigers were able to hold the Panthers to just one point the red of the way, the Tigers recorded back to back turnovers and allowed an offensive rebound within the last two minutes to seal the game
