HOW IT HAPPENED
- Randolph-Macon scored the first four points, but the Tigers countered with a 9-2 run to go ahead 9-6 at the 15:46 mark
- The Yellow Jackets took control of the game from there as they capitalized on H-SC turnovers to take a 17-9 lead just over two minutes later.
- A bevy of Tiger turnovers in the first half enabled R-MC to lead the rest of the first half and they went into intermission ahead 42-29
- R-MC expanded the lead to 17 with 16:45 left in the game.
- With the Yellow Jackets leading by 13, 66-53, with 5:56 left on the clock, the Tigers mounted a furious comeback
- H-SC went on an 11-0 run as Andrew Evans (Raleigh, NC / Millbrook) and JaVonte Reddick (Richmond, VA / L.C. Bird) accounted for eight of the first 11 points to draw H-SC within three, 66-63, with 3:23 to play
- Hampden-Sydney forced a Michael Taylor turnover, and following a timeout, Jake Duncan (Williamsburg, VA / Williamsburg Christian) connected on a three pointer to knot the game at 66-66 at 2:45
- Hampden-Sydney got another defensive stop but couldn't capitalize on offense, and Mike Silverthorn put Yellow Jackets up for good with a triple at 1:35
- The Tigers missed another shot on their next possession, and Daniel Noe scored on a layup to go ahead by five with 56 seconds left
- Evans put in a layup just eight seconds later, but Noe scored another layup with the shot clock nearly expired, putting Macon back up by five with only 17 seconds left
- A Tiger turnover three seconds later sealed the game

- Duncan scored a team-high 16 points to go with five rebounds
- Evans added on 14 points
- Reddick came off the bench to contribute 10 points and four boards
- Guilherme Guimaraes (Ribeirão Preto, Brazil / Miller School) tacked on nine points, five caroms, and three assists

- Lamont Moore paced the Yellow Jackets with 19 points and 11 rebounds
