HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tigers opened up the game firing on all cylinders as they led 21-3 eight minutes in and pushed the advantage to 29-8 at 9:41
- The Panthers cut the lead down to 15 in the first half, but H-SC with into intermission leading 43-23
- Trailing 52-31 at 17:15, the Panthers scored eight straight to draw within 13 at 14:18
- Hampden-Sydney responded with back-to-back Mitch Owens (Williamsburg, VA / Walsingham) three pointers and a layup by Josh Katowitz (Raleigh, NC / Heritage).
- H-SC still led by a 19-point margin, 62-43, at 7:57, but BSC caught fire and went on an 11-0 run in under three minutes to find themselves trailing just eight with 5:10 remaining.
- Murray and Evans stepped up to close out the game, scoring or assisting on 12 of the 14 final points for H-SC, with the last bucket coming courtesy of a Katowitz fastbreak dunk off a Murray assist
TIGER TOP PERFORMERS
- Murray notched a double double with 17 points, 10 assists, five rebounds, and just one turnover. He shot 5-for-9 from the floor and 6-of-8 at the foul line
- Evans posted 19 points along with two blocks and two steals. He connected on eight of his 11 field goal attempts was 3-for-4 from three range
- Owens came off the bench to score 10 points and grab six rebounds
- Guilherme Guimaraes (Ribeirão Preto, Brazil / Miller School) scored eight points to go with a team-high seven caroms

- Alex Avery contributed 14 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists
- Ian Thom tallied 11 points, seven boards, four assists, and three steals
- John Crain and Ross Welch combined for 20 points
