Yugo Suzuki is in his third year as an Assistant Soccer Coach at Hampden-Sydney College during 2025-26. He had previously served as a Student Assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University since January 2023.
At VCU, Yugo worked with staff to organize, plan and prepare practice sessions, and assisted with film after games and practices. He also played a role in getting the equipment ready for practices and games.
While at VCU, Suzuki also was a coach at Own Touch in Richmond, a position he still currently holds. He helps prepare and manage summer camps, as well as middle and high school sessions. In addition, Yugo is responsible for training and shadowing new staff.
A native of Midlothian, Virginia, Yugo is a 2023 graduate of VCU, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business supply chain management & analytics. While at VCU he was a four-year member of the soccer team, playing eight career games for the Rams, making two starts.
