Laszlo van Straelen is in his first year as an assistant soccer coach at Hampden-Sydney College during 2022-23. He most recently served as the head coach for DCXI Juniors from 2021-22.
As the head coach of the DCXI juniors, van Straelen ran training sessions for boys ages five to nine, spending time with them each week to help teach new skills along with develop existing skills.
While working with the DCXI juniors, Laszlo worked as the head coach of the Maret School middle school boys' soccer team in 2021. He had the responsibility to divide the team into an A and B team while running the training sessions and leading the team into competitions. He currently also works as a private personal soccer coach helping players ages 9-18 improve their skills.
Laszlo is a Takoma Park, Maryland native, he graduate in 2021 from Guilford College with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, where he was a four year member of the soccer team. As a member of the Quaker's soccer program, van Straelen played in 32 games, starting 22 of them and he scored one goal. He currently holds a United States Soccer Federation D Coaching License.
