Alison Cameron is in her ninth year at Hampden-Sydney College during 2024-25, and her eighth year as the Head Athletic Trainer, while overseeing the Sports Medicine staff. Alison was promoted to the additional role of Senior Woman Administrator in August 2021, as well. She joined the College in the fall of 2016 as an assistant athletic trainer before her promotion in February 2017. Cameron's primary sports at H-SC are football, lacrosse, tennis and golf.
Prior to H-SC, Alison served as an assistant athletic trainer at fellow ODAC member Washington and Lee University from 2011-16 with primary sport responsibilities of field hockey, cross country, women’s basketball and baseball. Before W&L, she served an internship in athletic training at the University of Tampa during 2010-11.
Alison is a 2008 graduate of Saint Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in athletic training. She served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan from 2008-10 while gaining her Master of Education degree in higher education.
A native of Woodbury, Minnesota, Alison and her husband, Billy, head lacrosse coach at Rhodes (TN) College, have a son Walker.
