Zeke Traylor ‘06 is in his 14th year at Hampden-Sydney College during 2021-22, serving as the running backs coach, after previously serving as the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator for the program. He served as a graduate assistant with the Tigers during 2006, working primarily with the offensive line, as well.

In Spring 2021, Traylor coached two All-ODAC honorees, including First Team selection Kaleb Smith. H-SC averaged 165.2 rushing yards per game toward an average of 355.8 total yards.
In 2019, Traylor coached Second Team All-ODAC selection Andrew Grage. H-SC averaged 228.8 passing yards per game toward an average of 303.6 total yards.
In 2018, Traylor coached Second Team All-ODAC selection Andrew Grage. H-SC was second in the ODAC in passing yards per game (381.0) and third in total yards (457.3).
In 2017, Traylor coached two All-ODAC honorees, including First Team selection Wesley Spencer. The Tigers were second in the ODAC in passing yards per game (320.8).
In 2016, Traylor coached two All-ODAC honorees, including Second Team choice Daniel Fogleman. The Tigers led the ODAC in passing yards per game (286.1).
In 2015, Traylor coached two All-ODAC selections, including First Team selection P.J. Melnick. The offensive line helped the Tiger offense to over 400 yards per game (414.1), including 258.2 in the air and 155.9 on the ground.
In 2014, Traylor coached Second Team All-ODAC honoree P.J. Melnick. The Tigers were third in the ODAC in scoring (34.9) and yards passing per game (276.5) among 403.5 yards offensively each week.
In 2013, Traylor coached three All-ODAC selections for the first time in his tenure with Will Ferrell, Joey Partin and C.J. Wade earning First, Second and Third Team honors, respectively. The Tigers once-again led the ODAC in scoring (34.2), total yards per game (444.7), passing yards (294.2), passing touchdowns (27) and rushing touchdowns (30), while rushing for 150.4 yards per game.
In 2012, Traylor had another solid season with the offensive line and coached his second consecutive First Team All-American in junior Will Ferrell, also a First Team choice among two All-ODAC honorees. As a unit, Traylor's line helped the Tigers lead the ODAC in scoring offense (36.5) and finish second in total offense (429.6). On the ground, the Tigers were fourth best in the league (157.8).
In 2011, Traylor saw much success on the offensive line with two First Team All-ODAC selections in Ben Rogers and Will Ferrell. Rogers also became the first under Traylor to earn First Team All-America. The Tigers led the league in scoring (41.9) and passing offense (340.5), while second in total offense (474.5).
In 2010, Traylor coached a First Team All-ODAC selection for the third consecutive year in Ben Rogers, while Clay Parker was named Second Team All-ODAC. The offensive line helped the Tigers lead the ODAC in passing yards per game (307.6), while third in total yards (413.1) and over 100 yards rushing (105.5).
In 2009, Traylor coached repeat First Team All-ODAC honoree Ben Rogers. The Tigers led the ODAC in scoring (34.9), total yards per game (411.5), passing yards (310.0) and passing efficiency (135.4). H-SC was third in sacks-against, allowing just 15 for the second-straight season.
In 2008, Traylor’s first season as offensive line coach, he coached First Team All-ODAC choice Ben Rogers. The Tigers led the ODAC in total yards per game (470.5), and passing yards (360.9), while second in passing efficiency (134.8). H-SC was third in sacks-against, allowing only 15 on the season.
Traylor was a three-year letterman (2003-05) on the offensive line for the Hampden-Sydney football team. As a senior in 2005, he helped the Tigers to an 8-2 record and earned a multitude of honors, including the J. Stokeley Fulton Award, First Team All-ODAC, First Team All-State, First Team Don Hansen Football Gazette All-South Region, Second Team D3football.com All-South Region and Honorable Mention Don Hansen Football Gazette All-American.
Traylor graduated from Hampden-Sydney in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. Following graduation and his season as a graduate assistant on the 2006 Tiger staff, he served as the offensive and defensive line coach at Mills E. Godwin High School in the fall of 2007 and taught social studies at Byrd Middle School.
Traylor and his wife, Adrienne, reside in Farmville with their three children, twins Taylor (23) and Tyler (23) Frink, along with daughter, Charliegh (2). Adrienne serves as the College’s Wellness Center Care Coordinator and Title IX Prevention & Education Planner, while Tyler '20 graduated from the College as a four-year member of the Tigers.
