Richard "Goo" Ramirez is in his second year at Hampden-Sydney College during 2025-26, serving as the director of sports performance for football, and adding basketball for this year, as well. He previously served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Harding (AR) University during the 2023 fall semester.
At Harding, Ramirez designed and instructed workouts for baseball and women’s soccer, communicated with head coaches and athletic training, administered student-athlete readiness tests with technologies such as Virtvue, Vald ForceDecks, timing gates and jump mats, and executed semester movement screens to observe progression of athletic movement quality. He also has experience as a personal trainer and physical therapist aid.
A native of Fresno, California, Richard graduated from Pacific (OR) University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science and psychology. He was a four-year member of the Boxers’ football team. Ramirez is currently pursuing his Master of Science degree in strength and conditioning.
