Melik Frost '24 is in his first year as an assistant football coach at Hampden-Sydney College during 2024-25, serving as the running backs coach. He was a four-year team member and two-year starter at running back with the Tigers (2020-23).
Frost started 19 of 31 career games with 2,041 career rushing yards () on 495 career rushing attempts and 25 career rushing touchdowns, adding 55 career receptions for 467 career receiving yards and three career receiving touchdowns. Melik earned Third Team D3football.com All-Region 3, First Team All-ODAC and First Team VaSID All-State as a junior when he rushed for 943 yards on 201 carries and 12 touchdowns.
A native of Hardeeville, South Carolina, Melik is a 2024 Cum laude graduate of Hampden-Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He was named a member of the 2024 National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, comprised of college football players from all divisions who have maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers. Frost was a four-time ODAC All-Academic Team honoree (2020-24), and was a Second Team All-ODAC selection as a senior.
