Kyle Lafayette is in his first year as an assistant football coach at Hampden-Sydney College during 2025-26, serving as the nickels coach. He was a four-year team member with the Tigers (2021-24).
Lafayette started eight of 28 career games in the defensive secondary and had 31 career total tackles, including 19 solo and one assist, 0.5 career tackles for loss, one career interception, two career pass breakups, one career quarterback hurry, one career forced fumble, one career blocked field goal attempt and one career two-point defensive conversion. He added two career kick returns for 34 yards (17.0), including a long return of 20 yards.
A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Kyle is continuing pursuit of his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology at the College. His older brother, Tobias ’24, was also a four-year team member with the Tigers (2020-23).
