Dr. Madison Stewart is in her second year as an assistant athletic trainer at Hampden-Sydney College during 2026-27. She has primary sport responsibility for football and baseball. Stewart earned her Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT) with a concentration in teaching and leadership from the University of Florida in May of 2025.
While pursuing her DAT at UF, Stewart served as the head athletic trainer at Bell Middle and High School in Bell, Florida during 2023-24, and served in the same capacity at Oak Hall Middle and High School in Gainesville, Florida during 2024-25. She also served as an online instructor, co-instructor and teaching assistant during her four semesters at UF, including in kinetic anatomy, prevention and care of athletic injuries, diagnostic imaging for athletic trainers and evidence based musculoskeletal examinations.
Madison is a 2023 graduate of Purdue University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training. She completed clinical rotations with football and women’s basketball at Purdue, before her senior year immersive experience at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana with 11 sports, including baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, soccer and volleyball. Stewart also had rotations at Tri-County High School in Wolcott, Indiana, along with the Tactical Athletic Care and PUSH Physical Therapy clinics in West Lafayette, Indiana.
A native of Lafayette, Indiana, Stewart is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and licensed in the states of Florida and Virginia. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), the Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association (SEATA) and the Athletic Trainers’ Association of Florida (ATAF). Madison has additional certification in American Heart Association CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS).
