ODAC WEEKLY REPORT

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. --
Hampden-Sydney College junior running back Terry Hicks (Clayton, NC) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Football Offensive Player of the Week for week three games played on September 20. He was selected for his outstanding rushing efforts during the Tigers' 42-7 ODAC home win past Shenandoah University on Fulton Field at Lewis C. Everett Stadium.

Terry rushed for a game-high and season-high 192 yards on a career-high 31 attempts and a career-high three touchdowns against the Hornets. He had a pair of first-quarter scores, including a one-yard run at 9:03 and a three-yard run at 2:54, and added a seven-yard scoring run with 25-seconds left in the second quarter to help the Tigers to a 28-7 halftime advantage in the conference opener. His 192 yards are the second-highest of his collegiate career, only behind a 207-yard effort at Bridgewater College last November 2, 2024, which tied for the seventh-best single-game total in program history. H-SC rushed for 443 yards against SU, the highest team rushing total since the Garnet & Grey posted 613 yards rushing at Davidson College on October 26, 1991 in North Carolina.

Hicks leads the ODAC in rushing touchdowns (5), is second in rushing yards (385), third in rushing yards per game (128.3) and all-purpose yards (419), and fourth in all-purpose yards per game (139.7). Terry ranks 13th in NCAA Division III rushing touchdowns, 16th in rushing yards, 21st in rushing yards per game, 24th in total touchdowns (5), 25th in total points (30) and 44th in scoring (10.0).

H-SC (3-0, 1-0) will play on the road at ODAC member Guilford (NC) College (1-2, 0-1) on Saturday, September 27, at 1 p.m. in Greensboro, North Carolina.
