4/10/2025 9:29:00 AM

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College second-year head football coach Vince Luvara recently announced senior Logan Cohn (Henrico) as the recipient of the Pat Kline Captain's Award for exemplary leadership, and senior Brendan Wallace (Virginia Beach) as recipient of the J. Stokeley Fulton Award for Scholarship, Leadership and Athletic Achievement.

"We couldn't ask for two more deserving recipients of these awards," said Luvara. "Logan is an outstanding representative for the Pat Kline Captain's Award, showcasing exceptional leadership throughout the year. Brendan is equally deserving of the J. Stokeley Fulton Award, the highest honor a Hampden-Sydney football player can receive, exemplifying all the qualities the award stands for throughout his entire career."

Logan Cohn served as a team captain last fall and started all 10 games as the anchor of the offensive line at center, helping the Tigers account for 3,697 yards of total offense (369.7), including 1,527 yards rushing (152.7) and 2,170 yards passing (217.0) with 38 touchdowns. The Garnet & Grey ranked third in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) in passing yards per game, fourth in total offense per game, and fifth in both rushing yards per game and scoring offense (28.6). Logan completed his H-SC career with 29 (consecutive) starts in 32 career games.

Brendan Wallace also served as a team captain last fall and started all 10 games at linebacker or on the defensive line, leading the team with 74 total tackles, including 35 solo, 11.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, one pass breakup, three QB hurries and two fumbles recovered. He had at least 10 tackles in three games, including a career-high 13 tackles vs. Guilford (NC) (10/5), and was second in the ODAC in tackles for loss, tied for second in sacks, tied for third in fumbles recovered (30th in DIII), while sixth in total tackles and tackles per game (7.4). Brendan completed his H-SC career with 138 total tackles, including 54 solo, 20 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble and three fumbles recovered—starting 20 of 29 career games.

H-SC completed 2024 at 5-5 overall, 3-4 in the ODAC, and will open 2025 on the road at Delaware Valley University on Saturday, September 6, at 12 p.m. in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
