Emory Holiday Classic on Monday afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia. The Tigers used a 20-2 first-half run to lead 41-26 at halftime, and Radcliffe made a crucial three-point field goal with 5:06 remaining for a nine-point advantage, en route to the Top 25 victory. H-SC improved to 7-3 overall, while the Scots dropped to 9-3 overall, led by Matthew Schneider with a game-high 15 points. The Garnet & Grey will play host and seventh-ranked Emory University on Tuesday, December 30, at 4 p.m. in Atlanta.

Peter Moye (Charlotte, NC). MC scored the next seven points to lead 7-2 after a layup by Schneider with 17:17 on the clock. The Tigers, however, responded with a game-changing 20-2 run—the last 17 unanswered—to lead 22-9 at 10:09 … getting points from seven different players, including five by sophomore guard

The Scots closed to within 26-18 at 7:58, but the Garnet & Grey answered back with a quick 13-3 run to take their largest lead at 39-21 with 3:36 left in the half … six different players scoring this time, including consecutive three-pointers by Radcliffe and White to close the outburst, along with a reverse layup by junior guard

H-SC scored the opening basket of the second half, as well, when Radcliffe made a layup at 19:22 with an assist by Moye once-again for a 43-26 lead. MC, however, used a 12-4 run to close within 45-38 after another layup by Schneider with 14:41 remaining. The Tigers answered with a quick 7-2 run to lead 52-40 at 11:03 following 3-4 free throws by Fernald, and it was 53-42 after Lynch made 1-2 free throws with 9:46 on the clock. The Scots were within 53-47 at 6:09 after a three-pointer by Schneider and two free throws by Jackson Garner. The Garnet & Grey, however, got a big three-pointer from Radcliffe at 5:06, assisted by Stickney, to make it 56-47 and the outcome was never in doubt the remainder of the contest … with a driving basket by Lynch making it 59-47 at 3:04, an offensive rebound basket by Cannon making it 61-49 at 2:13 and another basket down low by Cannon making it 63-52 at 1:01 toward the final margin of victory.
Radcliffe led H-SC with his 11 points, including 3-7 three-pointers. Cannon posted his nine points and game-highs of nine rebounds and three blocks for the Tigers. Stickney also contributed nine points, adding five rebounds, while Fernald had eight points, four rebounds, three assists and a game-high three steals. Lynch added seven points and seven rebounds, and Bizzelle had six points and four rebounds. H-SC shot 38% (21-55) from the field, including 32% (6-19) on three-pointers, and 65% (15-23) at the free throw line. The Tigers enjoyed a 24-11 advantage in bench points and a 15-6 advantage in second chance points with 14 offensive rebounds, out-rebounding the Scots 47-34 overall.
Schneider led MC with his game-high 15 points, adding five rebounds and two steals. Chase Morgan finished with 14 points for the Scots, adding five rebounds, three assists and three blocks. MC shot 32% (20-62) from the field, including 31% (8-26) on three-pointers, and 64% (7-11) at the line.
H-SC and MC are ranked No. 16 and No. 25, respectively, in the latest
