Hampden-Sydney Plays At Bridgewater On Saturday At 2 p.m.

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College plays on the road at Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) member Bridgewater College on Saturday afternoon, January 15, at 2 p.m. in Bridgewater. It's the second of three consecutive Saturday road contests this month for the Tigers. H-SC is 8-3 overall, 3-1 in the ODAC, while the Eagles are 4-7 overall, 0-3 in the ODAC. Head Coach Caleb Kimbrough
H-SC is led by the third-year head coach who took over the program on April 4, 2019. The former head coach at Huntingdon College (AL) from 2016-19, Kimbrough is the 19th head coach in the 112-year history of the storied Hampden-Sydney program. He is no stranger to the ODAC, having played four years at Guilford College (NC) and coached six years with the Quakers, and one year at Washington and Lee University. Caleb is 24-20 overall at the College, including 12-12 in ODAC games.

Scouting Hampden-Sydney
The Tigers won their most recent contest at home past Randolph, 73-72, on Jan. 12, getting a career-high 21 points and nine rebounds from sophomore forward Davidson Hubbard (Charlotte, NC) in 29 minutes off the bench. H-SC has three players averaging in double figures among eight scoring at least 5.3 points per game. Junior guard Ryan Clements (Conyers, GA) leads the balanced-scoring team with his 14.4 points, adding 4.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists, followed by fifth-year forward and team captain Jake Hahn (Ruckersville) (12.7 points, 5.2 rebounds) and sophomore guard Adam Brazil (Mooresville, NC) (11.5 points, 3.3 assists, 27 3FGs). The Tigers are shooting 46% (326-709) from the field, including 37% (99-268) on three-point field goals, and 72% (157-219) at the free throw line. The Tigers are averaging 82.5 points, and allowing 70.8 points, for a +11.7 scoring margin.

Scouting Bridgewater
The Eagles are coached by third-year head coach Steve Enright, and last played on Jan. 12 on the road at ODAC member Virginia Wesleyan, falling 89-67. BC has been led by senior guard Andy Pack (17.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 19 3FGs), freshman guard Rashod Smith (14.9 points, 4.3 assists) and sophomore forward Alec Topper (10.8 points, 5.0 rebounds). The Eagles shoot 41% (288-695) from the field, including 29% (79-273) on three-pointers, and 68% (143-211) at the line; scoring 72.5 points, yielding 77.7 points.

Series History
H-SC and BC are playing for the 82nd time as ODAC opponents since the 1976-77 season, and the Tigers lead the conference series at 50-31. The two programs last played during 2019-20 ... three games that season, including a 79-67 road win for H-SC on Jan. 18, 2020 in Bridgewater and an 88-82 road win for BC on February 22, 2020 in S. Douglas Fleet Gymnasium, before the Tigers took a 72-59 home win during the first round of the ODAC Tournament on Feb. 25, 2020.
