MISENHEIMER, NC -- The Hampden-Sydney tennis team dropped a non-conference match with Pfeiffer on Saturday afternoon in Misenheimer, NC, 7-2.
Freshman
Bryson Alley/Charlottesville won both his singles and doubles matches on the day. He won in straight sets at number six singles, 6-4, 6-3. Earlier during doubles, he teamed up with classmate
Andrew Quick/Hillsborough, NC to win 8-4 at number three doubles.
Junior
Tyler Brice/Rocky Mount, NC took his opponent to the limit falling in a second set tiebreaker 6-4, 7-6 (2). Senior
Andrew Donelson/McLean his first set in a tiebreak, 7-6 (2) before dropping his match at number two singles. Freshman
David Hudson/Roanoke won his opening set before his opponent won the next two, 2-6, 1-6, 4-6.
The Tigers are back in action on Sunday, March 14 when they host Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foe Emory & Henry. The match is scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m. from the Tiger Tennis Courts.Â
