GREENSBORO, NC - The Hampden-Sydney Swimming team beat Greensboro College 93-81 on Saturday afternoon.
The team of David Anderson, Ryan Mitchell, Jackson Clayton-Luce, and Lee Ayscue broke the school record in the 400 yard medley relay, completing the event in 3:59.20. Conor O'Heir won the 200 yard freestyle in 2:05.52, and Clayton-Luce took first in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 23.59.
Mitchell earned the #1 spot in the 200 yard IM, finishing in 2:12.25, and Clayton-Luce won the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 59.22. Anderson also finished first n the 100 yard backstroke, hitting the finish block in 1:01.80.
Hampden-Sydney returns to the pool on December 6 when they travel to Ashland, VA to compete in the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jacket Invitational.
