Hampden-Sydney College

Saint Blizzard III is in his fifth year at Hampden-Sydney College during the 2026-27 academic year and his second year as Assistant Athletic Director. He was promoted to the position on July 1, 2025, after previously serving as Director of Compliance from 2022-25.
 
As Assistant Athletic Director, Blizzard provides administrative oversight for select sport programs and supports several areas of the department’s day-to-day operations. His responsibilities include sport oversight, NCAA compliance, game management and event operations, student-athlete programming, and department-wide initiatives. He also serves as an advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and works closely with coaches, student-athletes, and campus partners to support the student-athlete experience.
 
Blizzard has also played a role in coordinating community engagement and student-athlete development initiatives while assisting with the administration of championship and special events hosted by Hampden-Sydney. His work reflects a department-wide focus on student-athlete development, institutional collaboration, and operational excellence.
 
Prior to joining Hampden-Sydney, Blizzard gained experience in student support, academic services, and collegiate athletics through several professional and internship opportunities. His experience included serving as an Academic Support Intern at Norfolk State University, where he worked with student-athletes and learning specialists to support academic progress. He also completed internships and professional experiences within intercollegiate athletics that helped build the foundation for his career in athletic administration.
 
Blizzard is a graduate of the 2024 NCAA Division III Institute for Administrative Advancement, a professional development program for administrators from underrepresented populations in Division III athletics. He has also completed several other professional development programs, including the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar and the Effective Facilitation Workshop. In addition, he is an active member of the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA).
 
A native of Surry County, Virginia, Blizzard earned an Associate of Science degree in sport management from Richard Bland College of William & Mary in 2017, followed by a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from Old Dominion University in 2019. He completed his Master of Science degree in sports administration from Liberty University in May 2025.
