HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College earned a doubles victory but fell to Randolph College 7-0 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action on Wednesday evening at the H-SC Tennis Courts.

Dillon McReynolds (Abingdon), led off doubles action from the top spot, falling 6-1 in the first match to finish. The second match to finish was the pairing of senior
Casey Coffey (Midlothian) and sophomore
Emerson Rice (Columbia, SC), as they fell 6-2 as H-SC lost the doubles point. The final doubles match to finish saw sophomore
Jonathan Fogle (Midlothian) and freshman
Slade Funderburk (Camden, SC) win 6-4.

Coffey was the first match to finish in singles action in the number four slot, dropping the first match 6-3, and the second 6-2 to drop the match. Rice finished up second in the third slot, falling by the same 6-3, 6-2 scoreline. McRyenolds jumped out to an early lead in the second singles match with a 6-2 set one win, but fell in the second set 7-5, before ultimately losing the match with a 6-2 loss in set three. Fogle fell behind early in his match with a 6-4 set one loss, but battled back to take a 7-5 set two win to force a third set, where he fell 6-0 to drop the match. Davis took an early lead in his match from the top singles spot, taking a 6-4 set one win, before dropping the next two sets 6-2 to fall. The final match to finish saw Funderburk take set one 7-6, but fall in the following set 6-3, and drop the tiebreaking final set 1-0 to fall 7-6, 3-6, 0-1.

The Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, April 4, when they play host to Washington and Lee University at 1 p.m. in ODAC action at the H-SC Tennis Courts.
