DANVILLE, Va. -- Seventh-seeded Hampden-Sydney College finished its season with a 5-0 defeat to second-seeded Averett University in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men's Tennis quarterfinals, Wednesday afternoon at the Averett Tennis Courts in Danville.

Dillon McReynolds (Abingdon) finished first in doubles action, falling 8-4 in the second doubles slot. Sophomore
Barrett Foster (Virginia Beach) and freshman
Casey Coffey (Midlothian) fell in top doubles action by an 8-4 score line. In the final doubles match, sophomore
Henry Singleton (Richmond) and freshman
Tanner Allison (Midlothian) fell 8-4.
Coffey was the first of two singles to finish, with his match ending with a 6-2, 6-2 defeat. In the sixth singles slot, freshman
John Glassner (Charlotte, NC) fell 6-1, 6-1 to finish the match.
H-SC will bring back all but one of its members of the 2022-23 team, with only senior
Patrick Conde (Virginia Beach) graduating in May.
