HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College's B and C Golf Teams competed this week at two different tournaments: the Kinder-Williams Invitational played at the Lakeview Golf Club in Harrisonburg and the Maryville College Invitational played at the WindRiver Golf Club in Lenoir City, Tennessee. The Tigers' B Team in Harrisonburg posted a 36-hole score of 304-302--606 on Monday and Tuesday to finish seventh among 15 teams, while the B Team in Tennessee posted a two-day score of 305-303--608 to finish third among 14 teams—and the C Team in Tennessee posted 324-318--642 to finish ninth among the 14 teams.

Sophomores John Hutcheson (Edina, MN) (76-73) and Brody Smith (Yorktown) (71-78) led the Tigers at the Kinder-Williams their respective rounds of five-over par 149 on the par 72, 6,769-yard layout that tied them for 12th among 81 collegiate golfers. They were followed by classmate Rece Lott (Fort Worth, TX) (75-76--151, T-19th), junior Cole Williams (Kenbridge) (85-75--160, T-42nd) and senior Ryan Corbett (Richmond) (82-85--167, T-63rd).

Junior Reese Meyer (Virginia Beach) led the H-SC B Team in Tennessee with his rounds of 76-75--151 on the par 72, 7,270-yard layout that tied for eighth among 76 golfers. He was followed by sophomore Knox Sirmans (Rome, GA) (75-77--152, T-11th), freshman Ryan Porterfield (Cumming, GA) (78-76--154, T-17th) and junior Tommy Bishop (Jacksonville, FL) (76-78--154, T-17th), along with freshman Jack Hoyle (Midlothian) (91-75--166, T-51st).

Freshman Pierce Lambert (Hartfield) led the C Team in Tennessee with his rounds of 78-76--154 that tied for 17th. He was followed by classmates Cole Pollard (Manakin Sabot) (81-79--160, T-30th), Jack Davis (Radford) (85-79--164, T-43rd), Cole Wright (Wake Forest, NC) (80-89--169, T-57th) and Jack Craig (Raleigh, NC) (87-84--171, T-62nd).

The H-SC B Team will compete again at the Piedmont Fall Invitational on October 10-11 at The Orchard Golf & Country Club in Clarkesville, Georgia.
