Hampden-Sydney Basketball has won 75.3 percent of its games played (461 of 612) in what is now known as Kirby Field House since it opened in 1979. The latest facility renovations completed this fall (2025) include the new Tony Shaver Court in Diaz Arena. Overall, the Tigers have posted 40 winning seasons in 46 years, with 41 seasons at .500 or above, and the program enjoyed 29 consecutive winning seasons at home from 1988-2017.
   
H-SC finished 14-3 at home last season (2024-25), while 16-1 at home during 2023-24, the most home games since 1998-99 (18), and the second-most all-time (19). The Tigers were 8-2 at home during 2022-23, its fewest home games since 1987-88, also equaling the fewest ever (10).
   
The longest winning streak in the facility is 32 consecutive games won spanning four seasons, beginning with a 90-79 win over North Carolina Wesleyan in the 2002 NCAA Tournament, running through the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons, and into 2004-05.
   
H-SC has posted 25 10-win seasons at home, including five 15-win seasons.
   
In 2011-12, the Tigers posted their largest margin of victory with a 140-40 win past Patrick Henry Community College.
   
H-SC’s home contest with archrival Randolph-Macon, played on February 14, 2004, established a single-game attendance record with 2,214 fans in attendance.
   
The current seating configuration’s capacity is 1,200. Attendance for last season’s home game with RMC was 1,492 (sold-out) on Feb. 3, 2024.
