HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College juniors Nick Arcuri/Apex, N.C. and Jack Hayden/Apex, N.C. were recently named to the All-Tournament Team for the 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship.
A team captain and goalie, Arcuri started both games for the Tigers during the tournament and played 118:05 of the possible 120 minutes. He posted double-figure saves in each contest while totaling 30 saves during the two games, and yielding 30 goals for a save percentage of 50.0 percent. Nick had 16 saves for a percentage of 59.3 percent during the 19-11 quarterfinal home win past #6 Bridgewater on April 30. Arcuri finished the season with 17 starts in 18 games, playing 907:13, with an 11.57 goals against average and 209 saves for a percentage of 54.4 percent.
An attackman, Hayden started both games, as well, posting seven goals and one ground ball during the two contests. He had three goals on a perfect 3-3 shooting during the win against Bridgewater, before adding a team-best four goals on 4-5 shooting during the 20-11 semifinal road setback at #2 Lynchburg on May 4. Jack finished the year with 18 starts in 19 games, posting 38 goals (T-2nd on team) and 11 assists (T-5th) for 49 points (T-4th), adding 10 ground balls and three caused turnovers.
