Lacrosse Begins Quest for ODAC Championship

The Hampden-Sydney Lacrosse team will head to Washington and Lee University on Friday to battle third-seeded Roanoke College at 7 pm in the ODAC Tournament Semifinals. Links to live stats and video can be found here. The winner will advance to the ODAC Championship game against either Lynchburg or Washington and Lee on Saturday at 7 pm, hosted by W&L. The champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament while the runner-up squad will contend for an at-large bid.

Hampden-Sydney earned a first-round bye in the tournament after earning the #2 seed with an 8-1 ODAC mark, setting the school record for most ODAC wins in a season.

Roanoke hosted #6 seeded Bridgewater on Tuesday in quarterfinal action. Roanoke trailed 2-1 after the first quarter but scored eight straight to win 11-5.

Hampden-Sydney defeated Roanoke 10-9 in a classic game at Hampden-Sydney on April 7. Trailing 9-8 with 5:45 left, H-SC scored the last two goals of the game with the game-winner coming from the stick of Connor Pool with just 26 seconds to play.
