PERRY, NY - Hampden-Sydney lacrosse players Micah Keller (Richmond, VA/Christchurch), Cole Hawthorne (Richmond, VA/Collegiate), and Carter Mavromatis (Virginia Beach, VA/Cape Henry) have been named United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Honorable Mention All-American. Each athlete were also honored as First-Team All-ODAC players earlier in the month. This marks the first time since 2007 that the Tigers have boasted three or more All-Americans.
Keller was the leading vote getter at attack on the All-ODAC team. He finished second on the team in goals with 36 and was third in points with 49. He ranks fifth in the ODAC in goals, sixth in points, and third in man-up goals. Additionally, Keller is tied for sixth all-time in career goals at Hampden-Sydney and ninth in points.
Hawthorne led the ODAC in goals at 41, placed fifth in assists at 23 (second on the team), and was second in points with 64 (first on H-SC), just one point shy of leading the ODAC. He added on 43 ground balls, placing him 17th in the conference and fourth on the squad. His career ranks at H-SC are 12th in goals, ninth in assists, 11th in points, fourth in midfielder points, and 14th in ground balls. His 64 points are the second-highest total by a midfielder in single season Hampden-Sydney history.
Mavromatis has established himself as one of the top distributors in the ODAC and Hampden-Sydney history. He led the ODAC in assists with 30, the fifth most in school single season history, and is tied for second in career assists with 70. Additionally he added on 26 goals to tally 56 points. His point total ranks third in the conference and fourth in H-SC single season history. Mavromatis places ninth in the ODAC in goals and fourth in man-up goals with eight. He also places 15th on the school's career points list and sixth on the midfielder career points list.
