HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College baseball and lacrosse will play their respective home games on Saturday, April 6, in support of the One Love Foundation! The Tigers are hosting Emory & Henry College for a baseball doubleheader at 12 p.m. at Yank Bernier Field at the Ty Cobb Ballpark - Wurdeman Stadium. H-SC is hosting Randolph-Macon College for a lacrosse game at 1 p.m. at Fulton Field at Lewis C. Everett Stadium.
The goal of the One Love Foundation is to bring an end to Relationship Violence by educating, empowering and activating campus communities in a movement for change. The Foundation was established to honor the memory of Yeardley Love, a University of Virginia senior who was murdered by her ex-boyfriend in a domestic violence incident in 2010, just weeks before her graduation.
Please come out and support our baseball and lacrosse teams as they raise awareness against Relationship Violence.
The teams will be wearing T-Shirts during pre-game activities to support the One Love Foundation. If you would like to purchase a shirt, they will be on sale for $25 via cash or check during the game Saturday at Lewis C. Everett Stadium. Students can also purchase them from Adrienne Traylor, Counseling Center Care Coordinator and Title IX Prevention & Education Planner, during the week with cash or check. All proceeds will be donated to the One Love Foundation.
